Alerts
- Open a gauge and tap the bell to choose which levels alert you.
- Alerts need iCloud: sign in under Settings → [your name]. They're free and don't use your iCloud storage.
- Allow notifications for GaugeCast in Settings → Notifications.
- Alerts can be delayed or missed. Don't rely on them for safety-critical decisions; check official NOAA and National Weather Service sources.
Where the data comes from
Readings, forecasts, and flood categories come from NOAA's National Water Prediction Service; snow levels from the National Weather Service; crest history from the U.S. Geological Survey. Some gauges have no NOAA forecast or flood categories, and GaugeCast shows what each gauge has.
